No one delivers more body
elements that are more in line with the factory design than BBT. We thought it was time to bring back the "diamond
cut" bumpers.

Exactly, in the last 3 years of the production of the split-window buses, the bumpers
were of a different design. After the pressed bumpers, in 1959, the VW factory started to equip the
buses with a larger and stronger bumper. After the broken line (slant line, slash), they called the bumpers
freely slanted cut. In the 1966 model year, Volkswagen
changed the ends of the bumpers on their buses and called them diamond cut
.

Nobody has ever produced this type of bumper again, BUT BBT
has! The sheet metal is deep-drawn from one piece in our SWT program. Finally, it gets a decent L82 silver-white paint job that matches
most buses. More "diamond cut" bumpers will soon be produced by BBT with this paint finish.
