The outer rubber weatherstrip often cracks and water leaks in. Then the metal parts inside rust, then the rust swells and those three layers thicken. When you see vertically scratched windows, you see the end of this process, because the rivets in the rust-ridden inner part reach the window and start to grind it. This is the end of this part, but unfortunately the window too. The right side is 0355, and if you need a window, then those 8996-300 on the left and 8996-305 on the right. You can also find all the Beetle windows under 8996. This weatherstrip is held in place by the 0369 clip, and the 0351 thick felt keeps it in place.
