The heated air ventilation designed for Type 4 engines in buses is the opposite of Type 1 engines, it is operated by an electric fan that recovers the air taken in for heating from the engine compartment and delivers it to the interior through heat exchangers. The blower is located on the top of the engine compartment, from which 2 cardboard hoses lead to the heat exchangers. These cardboard hoses are very susceptible to wear, both due to vibrations and extreme temperature fluctuations.
