This gearbox nose cone allows the installation of a later-generation gearbox in the original chassis, with model years 1 -0/52, 2 -07/59 and Porsche 356 50/51. This makes it possible to replace the original gearbox with a newer type gearbox without full synchronisation. This makes gear shifting more comfortable and allows the installation of a later type engine. Please note: the appropriate gearbox shafts must be used for transmission to the rear wheels. Each gearbox conversion kit is delivered from stock, complete with mounting bolts but without seals. Seals can be ordered under ref. # 1415-100.
