All Beetles with 3-legged front seats have the spare wheel in the front, i.e. torsion bar suspension, because the firewall in this set is for that. If the car is on stilts, then it is specifically 1302 or 1303, those carpets are 0536, 0536-1, 0537 or 0537-eco. Use 0528 glue for it.

When these cars were manufactured back then, the noise from the tires was reduced by this tar-filled insulating sheet on the floor panel. Then after a couple of renovations, these were removed. (They were not replaced after the floor panel was replaced.) Until they were there, we didn't know how useful they were in noise reduction, but they are also useful in thermal insulation. They are finally available in several qualities and thicknesses, if you can and renovate, don't skimp on this.
