This shield is located between the muffler and the engine plate on Type 2 buses. It prevents the heat from the muffler from heating up the coating around the engine cooling fan. If this shield is missing, the intake cooling air will heat up through the surrounding plate and there is a risk of the engine overheating due to the warm coolant air. We find that on many buses this protective shield has been damaged or completely missing due to fluctuating temperatures, moisture and dirt after the m...

The nuts on Type 4 mufflers are often too tight or the nuts are too bad to loosen properly. This makes it very difficult to replace the heat exchanger or muffler. This kit includes 6 new studs with matching nuts and 2 new gaskets. Everything you need to get your exhaust connected.
These seals can withstand temperatures up to 1200°C and are located under the inspection cover on Type4 models at the transition between the heat exchanger and the cooling housing. When disassembling the heat exchangers or the cooling housing, these covers must be removed and the seals are often lost in the process. Without these seals, the air blown into the heat exchangers cannot be properly sealed.
