Upholstery vent next to the rear window, white, in pair, Beetle 08/70-07/71, 2.5mm thick polyester (vertical, included, for 4-hole cassette)

This is the upholstery vent next to the rear side window that we have been looking for for over 30 years. It is not easy to manufacture. That is why it is so expensive! The post-1970 Beetles had one of these where there are 4-4 vent nests next to the rear windshield. They are smaller than the 3-3 ones on the previous one, so this is the ONLY one that will work here. In the past, we regularly upholstered its place, and then we did not understand why the window would fog up all around in humid weather, we could not see out of the car. Now you can buy one from stock. These left and right side grilles are only found on the 71 VW Beetle model, and are used to demist the rear window. Later they were replaced with 6 separate grilles, 3 on each side (BBT 0780-1 and 0780-2). Originally made of thin plastic, which becomes brittle over the years and therefore simply crumbles when you try to take them apart, or they simply don't exist anymore. These new grilles are made of 2.5 mm thick polyester, with a proper structure and white color, which makes them much more durable than the originals.
