Just like Volkswagen fitters, you may need to bend/adjust the hinges on our doors to fit perfectly in the bus. PLEASE NOTE: These doors are excellent reproductions with all the right features... BUT the handle recess is recessed into the door trim, flush and spot welded into place, so this will need to be sealed in the desired manner, lead, glue, weld etc.

In general, the parallel chassis section fitted to Type 1 buses is strong and durable, although it is possible that a serious impact or corrosion could cause extensive damage to the chassis section. Replacement will be required. BBT now has a solid section of this chassis section available, which runs from the rear to the front wheel well, directly behind the front axle, where it can be joined together near the original weld. Available from stock for each side.
