Our tailgates are made using a necessary multi-stage pressing process, with a different shape for each pressing, exactly as Volkswagen used to produce them. The result is impressive, our tailgates are simply perfect and we fully guarantee a perfect fit. For assembly we use high-quality drills that were not available when Volkswagen produced them. Technologies are developing, and so are we. The key lock for this is 0429-450, 7447 is the gasket for it, 0157-310 is the hinge set for it.

1. Hinge on the opening (bend) with screw holes = vw 361 827 301/302.
For Type Bus -07/67 and Type3 version up to 07/71. For Bus after 08/67 this will be a thick solid hinge without holes, vw 361 829 301/302. Here the arc is also much larger.
2. Ball joint (for torsion springs) = vw 361 827 361
For Bus 08/63-07/71 and Type3 version.
3. Hinge bracket on the roof. = No separate VW number, it belongs to the rear rafter. But in comparison this is the 08/63-07/79 bus.

When you open the hood you will see these parts just inside on the left and right. It gives strength to the D-pillar so it is a really necessary metal part for the T1 bus. It is reverse engineered to the original factory specifications. It is exactly like the original or NOS parts if not better.
