If this little accordion rubber is not on the heating cable, it will quickly corrode into its housing, then it will not move and can become almost one material over time, so that we cannot remove it and of course it will not move. T2 bus is the insulating sponge in the engine compartment! If this seal is not in place, the heat generated at the bottom of the engine can return to the engine compartment and the warm air on the intake side will be returned to the cooling system, so the engine will not be cooled properly. Always keep it in place, so the engine's lifespan will be long.

Campers are often equipped with practical shutter windows, which consist of different slats placed one above the other in a frame. After many years, the seals can be damaged by UV radiation and heavy use and must therefore be replaced to avoid leaks and damage to the slats that collide with each other. BBT can now offer these seals in sets for 1 window for type 2 -07/67 under 7414-100 and for type 2 under 08/67-07/79 under 7514-100.

Originally, the 08/73-07/79 Type 2 buses had a rubber seal around the sliding door lock cylinder. This seal provides a nice surface between the outside of the lock cylinder and the outer panel of the sliding door. It prevents moisture, dirt and dust from entering the interior of the sliding door through a small crack and having a destructive effect on it. From now on, all Type 2b owners can obtain this seal from stock.
