In the early 70s, a relatively new development at Volkswagen was the M8 sealing nut for the oil pump covers. Replacing the traditional nuts. VW never produced such nuts for engines before 67, so we thought it would be a bold move and to eliminate all oil leaks, we brought you this nut in M6 size! 4 pieces are needed for one engine, we sell it per piece.

The paper gasket set with the copper washers is 1851. The complete set with the filter, screws, drain cover, with a drain screw in the middle, paper and copper gaskets is 1852!! What we highly recommend for the oil drain system is a magnetic oil drain screw with part number 1850. This is a very good thing if it collects the dirty metal filings in the engine and they can no longer wander in the oil system and increase wear. For Type 1 engines, 12/13/15/1600, from 08/60 to the end of production!!
