The front fresh air damper is operated by a rod that runs from the lever on the dashboard to the damper. This passes through a harmonic rubber to provide enough room for movement and still seal properly. They are sold individually. Up to 76/07, 2 are required per car, between 76/76 and 7/79, only 1 is required. The insulating rubber in the circle at the inlet is 0725-526.

This button is used as a glove compartment door button on the Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type3 and Bus T2 and to operate the fresh air control on the Beetle, Karmann Ghia and Type3. The short version BBT 0544-150 is for the unpadded "metal" dashboard, and BBT 0544-151 is for the black padded one. The fresh air button cap is BBT 0544-152 and fits both buttons.

The heating and ventilation of Type 2 buses are controlled by 4 or 3 levers on the dashboard, depending on the model year, which control a mechanism via the dashboard that guides the cables to the heating plates. On Type 2 Buses 08/67-07/72, these levers are assembled to the mechanism using clips that pass through the lever and the cone of the levers. These clips can break if a poorly greased lever mechanism is used, or can be damaged or lost when the levers are disassembled and the dashboard...

These are the rubbers that provide a good seal on the front fresh air flap. The rubber on these flaps often hardens, collapses or disappears due to age. This allows cold driving wind and rainwater to enter. The valve is glued to the arm. 2 pieces are required per car.
