This seal is located on the flywheel side of the -07/60 gearbox and ensures that oil cannot leak along the primary shaft. The larger collar ensures that you do not fit the seal too deep as split case gearboxes do not yet have the inner flange to fit properly like later ones. The later BBT 1416 seal will also fit but you may push it too far and it will start to leak. Proper, high quality parts for a perfect fit.
BBT's product development department has been planning to produce these oil deflectors for a long time, but finding a good manufacturer for the tooling and manufacturing was a very complex task. In any case, time has brought the solution and we are very pleased with the result. The oil deflectors are located on the rear brake drums and their important task is to prevent oil from the transmission from getting through the swingarm to the brake lining. The original plates are often damaged by co...
When two metal parts run against each other, there will always be some metal micro-parts (metal filings) left in the transmission. In the transmissions, the few filings that remain are absorbed into the oil. Well, this magnetic drain plug takes these micro-metal parts out of the oil and keeps them until the next oil change! I think we don't need to say that this is directly proportional to the life of the transmission? Extend the life of the transmission at a very low cost! It's only good if ...
